David Hickey - Non Executive Chairman & Chairman of the Audit Committee

David is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has spent the majority of his career as a senior investment banker with HSBC and Investec. He is a past committee member of the London Investment Bankers Association and is currently Non-Executive Chairman and Director of two other quoted companies.

Alex Scott-Barrett - Non Executive Director & Chairman of the Remuneration Committee

Alex qualified as a chartered accountant with Coopers & Lybrand prior to Joining Cazenove in 1982, becoming a partner of the firm in 1988. In 1996 he became a Director of the firm's fund management division and from 2000 to 2003 was the COO of that division. Alex left Cazenove in 2003 becoming non executive Chairman of Suffolk Life group plc.

Steven Hartley - Chief Executive

Steven qualified as a chartered accountant with Stoy Hayward, Manchester where he became a corporate finance partner for 5 years. In 1995 he left to found Euro Sales Finance plc the first company to raise money on AIM, guiding that company onto the Full List in 1998 and through its sale to RBS in 2001. Since then he has held both executive and non-executive directorships overseeing fast growth, turnaround and M & A transactions in private and AIM listed finance and technology companies. He joined General Capital Group in April 2008 as CEO.

Helen Votier Turner - Group Financial Controller & Company Secretary

Helen qualified as a Chartered Accountant at Price Waterhouse Coopers LLP in 1999, where she was a senior member of the corporate services management team. Prior to joining General Capital, Helen was the head of finance at Adnams Plc for four years.

Mark Lester - Credit Director

Mark has over 20 years experience in the asset finance industry having joined Chartered Trust Plc in 1983 and has held executive board level positions at Combined Lease Finance Plc and latterly for 10 years until 2004 at Hermes Group Limited, a leading UK independent leasing company until its acquisition by Singer & Friedlander Bank in 2002.

Robert Keep

Robert Keep - Managing Director - Asset Finance

Robert joined the financial services market place in 1985. In 1992 he joined a brokerage engaged in asset finance until forming his own brokerage and small leasing company - Norton Folgate in 1996.

By 2006 he had built one of the country's largest small ticket asset based leasing brokerages placing receivables exceeding £150,000,000 in that time. He sold the business to General Capital Group Plc in 2007.

Robert Gurney - Property Director

Robert trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG specialising in property and construction. He moved to a subsidiary company of Nat West as Head of Finance responsible for redeveloping the Nat West Tower until disposal. In 1999 he joined Howard Holdings PlC (an International property developer) as UK Finance Director, before starting with General Capital in February 2006 with responsibility for Property Finance.
