Banking Update

Further to the announcement of 30 June 2008, the Board of General Capital confirms that letters of waiver regarding past breaches of banking covenants have been received from each of its bankers, HBOS plc and NM Rothschild & Sons Ltd and that the documentation in relation to the amendment of certain covenants to better reflect its future business needs has been completed with each of the banks.
