Appointment of Company Secretary

General Capital Group plc (AIM:GENC), the asset and venture finance specialist, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. David King as the Group Company Secretary with immediate effect. Mr. King is currently Company Secretary of General Capital Finance Limited (“General Capital Finance”) and has been with the Company since 1999. Nick Marsham previously undertook the role of Group Company Secretary in addition to his core ongoing responsibilities as Group Finance Director.
Mr. King FCA, 48, qualified as a Chartered Accountant at Deloitte Haskins & Sells in 1983, where he became a senior manager in the Middle East. Prior to joining General Capital Finance, Mr. King was the Managing Director of the UK subsidiary of an international shipping business.
Mr. King will report to the Board of General Capital and be responsible for ensuring that General Capital and all its Directors operate to the highest professional and ethical standards in all governance and commercial matters across the Group as well as assuming all statutory and administrative duties associated with this role.
